Christmas traditions this year have hit a big speed bump to put it mildly. Parties are a no go, theater and symphonies are out, and mall shopping is taboo. So I've noticed more people than every putting lights up this year and the big holiday festivity being driving to see light displays with Cheekwood's yearly display selling out tickets and the popular trendy thing this year being the huge Christmas light show at the Nashville Speedway. Murfreesboro's Cannonsburgh Village got in on the act by offering a free drive through display. Cannonsburgh Village is a historical recreation of a town that is free to the public year round. I think this is the first year they've done a light display. It's not huge and only offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday through December, but it's a free, quaint display on the historical village that the site curators have clearly put a lot of effort into.
