Recently the Frist in Nashville hosted a fabulous exhibit of turn of the century Parisian artifacts and art. This is possibly the nicest exhibition I've seen in a while. The original Chat Noir sign, a dress of Sandra Bernhardts, and a number of gorgeous paintings. The Frist also features a wonderful arts and crafts area that appeals to even older children. The crafts always go along with the exhibition being featured, so this time there were Parisian pop up cards to make, portrait drawing, watercolors, engraving, and a ton of other interactives. I was impressed with how much there was to do in the area and how friendly it was to older children and teenagers. It was a great place for the students we took to bring home a keepsake from the center.
